Business Development Manager

Job Context

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our multi-section outlet, which includes FMCG, IT Products & Accessories, Eyewear, Pharmacy, Restaurant & Convention, and Hardware sections. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in business development, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. This role will be pivotal in driving business growth, expanding customer reach, and identifying new market opportunities to ensure profitability across all sections, with potential for further expansion into additional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for all sections of the outlet, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across FMCG, IT, Eyewear, Pharmacy, Restaurant & Convention, and Hardware sectors.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and competitors. Identify emerging opportunities in each section, including new product categories and services.
  • Establish strong partnerships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Lead negotiations to secure favorable deals for sourcing products and services across all categories.
  • Collaborate with section incharges to introduce new products, services, and promotional strategies tailored to each sector's specific customer base, such as innovative restaurant offerings or specialized IT products.
  • Design strategies to increase foot traffic and bookings for the restaurant and convention center, focusing on enhancing the customer experience, menu offerings, and event management services.
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to design and execute cross-section marketing campaigns and promotions that drive customer engagement, both in-store and online. Leverage digital platforms to enhance visibility.
  • Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare reports for senior management. Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements across all sections.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team across different outlet sections. Promote collaboration and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all sections, especially in Pharmacy, FMCG, and Restaurant sectors. Maintain high standards of product and service quality.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the line authority or honorable management authority.

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 25 years
  • 3+ years of proven experience in business development, preferably in retail, restaurant, or multi-section outlet management.
  • Experience in FMCG, IT products, hospitality (restaurant/convention), or pharmacy sectors is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth and innovation across multiple categories.
  • Ability to manage and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of business development principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in market research, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing, Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Computer Science & Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management
  • Preferred Professional Certifications: Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Strategic Management Professional (SMP), Certified Strategic Business Development (CSBD), Digital Marketing Certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot), Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green/Black Belt)
