Multi-cuisine Chef

Job Context

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Multi-Cuisine Chef to join our dynamic team at FoodExpo Restaurant & Convention Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing a variety of international and local cuisines, ensuring high-quality food production for both the restaurant and large-scale events hosted in our convention center.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present a variety of international and multi-cuisine dishes, including but not limited to Asian, Continental, Middle Eastern, and Western cuisines.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Design innovative and seasonal menus that cater to diverse customer preferences.
  • Lead and train kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and quality control.
  • Ensure food presentation and service meet high standards for both à la carte dining and large-scale events.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food cost to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the event and restaurant management teams to meet specific culinary requirements for conventions, banquets, and special events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the line authority or honorable management authority.

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 25 years
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Cuisine Chef in high-end restaurants, hotels, or catering services.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare a diverse range of cuisines with a focus on both authenticity and creativity.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment and modern cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Education

  • Diploma in Hotel Management in Hospitality Management, HSC, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality Management
  • Preferred Professional Certifications: Culinary Arts or Relevant Diploma, Certified Executive Chef (CEC), ServSafe Food Handler Certification, Certified Master Chef (CMC), Culinary Nutrition Certification, Specialty Certifications
