Sales Executive

Job Context

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of the outlet's various sections, including FMCG, IT Products & Accessories, Eyewear, Pharmacy, Restaurant & Convention, and Hardware. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to manage multiple product categories.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by offering excellent service and resolving any inquiries or issues.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of products across multiple sections (FMCG, IT Products & Accessories, Eyewear, Pharmacy, Restaurant & Convention, Hardware) and stay updated on new arrivals and promotions.
  • Communicate product features, benefits, and pricing to customers effectively.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets across different sections.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the outlet by driving sales and upselling when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling between sections.
  • For instance, promoting restaurant services to pharmacy customers or IT accessories to FMCG buyers.
  • Assist in stock monitoring and replenishment. Ensure products are well-stocked, organized, and displayed attractively in the outlet.
  • Actively participate in sales promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in setting up promotional displays and ensure accurate pricing and labeling.
  • Keep track of daily sales, customer feedback, and inventory.
  • Provide reports and feedback to the Sales Manager on customer preferences, trends, and potential improvements.
  • Work closely with other departments such as procurement, inventory, and marketing to ensure smooth operations and seamless customer experiences across sections.
  • Ensure all sections are well-presented, clean, and visually appealing to customers.
  • Assist with visual merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the line authority or honorable management authority.

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 18 years
  • Proven experience in retail sales or a related field (minimum 1 years).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-category retail environment.
  • Familiarity with retail POS systems and basic sales reporting.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for sales and product knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to working across various sections (FMCG, IT, Eyewear, Pharmacy, Hardware, etc.).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skill.

Education

  • Diploma in Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing, Diploma in Engineering in Electronics , Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Computer Science & Engineering
  • Professional Certification Preferred: Certified Sales Executive (CSE), Management Certification, Professional Certificate in Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing and Sales Certification.
