Job Context
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor or Captain to lead the daily operations of FoodExpo (Restaurant) at our Expotech outlet in Bogura. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences, a strong leadership ability and the skills to manage a team effectively. You will be responsible for overseeing service operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
Responsibilities
A) Supervise and Coordinate Staff:
- Oversee the restaurant floor, ensuring that all staff, including waiters, runners, and busboys, are performing their duties efficiently.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to the team members and ensure they understand their roles.
- Conduct daily briefings with the team to discuss menu changes, specials, and service standards.
B) Ensure Quality Service:
- Monitor service to ensure prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests.
- Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the dining area, ensuring that tables, chairs, and other equipment are in good condition.
C) Customer Relations:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they are seated promptly and comfortably.
- Develop positive relationships with regular customers, enhancing their dining experience and encouraging repeat business.
- Handle reservations and manage the seating arrangement to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
D) Training and Development:
- Train new staff members on service standards, menu items, and restaurant policies.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team performance and ensure consistency in service delivery.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
E) Inventory and Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of dining room supplies, including cutlery, glassware, and condiments.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure a seamless flow of service and adequate stock of food and beverages.
- Assist in placing orders for supplies and managing inventory to minimize wastage.
F) Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards as per local regulations.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to staff performance, sales, and customer feedback.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in planning and organizing events or special promotions.
